"Brace! Brace! Brace! Heads down! Brace! Brace! Brace!"

With these words, the story of US Airways flight 1549 takes on a whole new meaning as former flight attendant, Doreen Welsh, shares her riveting narrative in "Ninety Seconds to Impact". It is the story of a 38 year veteran flight attendant who goes to work on a seemingly normal day back in January 2009. Through a series of events that have the potential to be catastrophic, her life and the lives of 154 passengers and crew are forever changed. As you follow Doreen on this remarkable journey you’ll listen in awe as she recounts the moments after the crash as she struggles to safely evacuate the passengers and herself from the back of a sinking plane filling with icy water from the Hudson River.

Many of you may have heard Captain Sullenberger speak about the logistics of landing a powerless commercial jet on the Hudson. The story Doreen tells is a different story that most have not heard. Doreen’s is the human story of a normal woman thrust into an extraordinary situation who does some remarkable things which save the lives of dozens of people. This enthralling presentation should not be missed. Travel industry employees, managers, team leaders and crisis management professionals should attend this meeting.
